The Camp gear has been chosen and purchased specifically for the purposes of this Astro-tourism project, based on the Cyprus’ weather conditions, the projects’ needs and the guidance of experienced campers. Each part of the equipment is described below:
Tents

There have been used double wall geodesic tents with the potential of three peoples’ capacity. This type of tent has been chosen as the best option depending on breathability, ventilation, weather protection, wind stability and interior comfort.
Sleeping Mat

The full-length model (183cm x 51cm x 3cm) of this self-inflating mat that has been bought, weighs 860gr. Made from TrekEco® Fabric that is made from recycled 50D polyester. It also has a non-slip base, as well as a non-slip grip.
Sleeping Bags

Astrocamps’ and Astroparks’ visitors, used Rightzip Sleeping bags in Ombre Blue made mostly from ecologically friendly materials. This particular sleeping bag has been chosen because it has a temperature rating of -1°C, PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent), technology that uses thermo-reactive minerals applied to the fabric and it can also docked with a second bag to form a double sleeping bag.
Sleeping Bag Liner

Cutlery
